Autumn Wedding Photography

Autumn Wedding Photography

September, the best month of all.  I might be a little biased as it’s when my birthday falls.  But also it seems a great month to get married, and with fingers crossed for an Indian Summer October is a good choice for some Autumn colour.

Married at Gaynes Park – Joely and Tom

Perfect autumn weather for Joely and Tom’s wedding last weekend, bright and sunny with the leaves just starting to turn on the trees, ideal for a Gaynes park wedding. Joely and Tom’s parents live just minutes from each other in Barnet so I had to brave the M25 to spend a short time with each […]

Pembroke Lodge Wedding – Stephanie and Bernie

It was a crisp and sunny Saturday for Steph and Bernie’s autumn wedding at Pembroke Lodge in London’s Richmond Park, which I was very pleased to see after a few Saturdays of less than ideal wedding weather. I started with Bernie and the boys for the last of their preparations and a quick good luck […]

Married at Kimberley Hall – Alexandra and Wil

An amazing and expressive autumn wedding at Kimberley Hall

Pippa and Mark’s Autumn Oxfordshire Wedding

Some days it rains, but the show must go on… After a sunny week, it was raining when I arrived in Oxfordshire to document Pippa and Mark’s garden wedding, the weather looked like it was settling in for the day. After capturing the last of the girl’s preparations and the boys lunch at the local […]

St Giles Hotel Wedding – Jodie and David

An Autumn wedding in Norwich city centre

Aarohi and Dave – an engagement session

Earlier in the week I met up with Aarohi and Dave in the woods near Sandringham to take some photos with them before their Sussex Barn wedding at the end of July next year. Beautiful woods and beautiful people (and a bit nuts). Can’t wait for their Indian/Western fusion wedding in 2016.

Sharon and Nick’s Altitude London Wedding

Sharon and Nick were both born in the UK but have lived for many years in Australia, so when it came to their wedding back in London they want to soak up some of the sights. I met them to catch the last of their preparations at the Zettler Townhouse before jumping in a black […]

Southwold Wedding Photography – Lucy and Ed

Maybe the one of the tiniest wedding venues I’ve worked in, but where would be more appropriate for a couple of playwrights to be wed than the stage at the Electric Picture Palace in Southwold? It’s easily missed in a suburban backstreet, but squeeze through the doors and you step into a miniature bygone world. […]

Town Hall Hotel Wedding – Mohini and Ed

Town Hall Hotel Wedding Photos The recipe for a totally chilled wedding ? Practice it would appear … Mohini and Ed had a small registry office wedding the weekend before, followed by an Indian wedding on Wednesday and then today’s humanist wedding at the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. So they were old hands […]

Buckinghamshire Wedding Photography – Chloe and Matt

Marquee Wedding in Buckinghamshire What goes around comes around … Chloe’s sister Jessica contacted me in 2008 about photographing her wedding – I was busy on her date so I recommended my friend Rob.  Rob shot Jessica’s wedding and 5 years later it was Chloe’s turn to get married.  She tried Rob .. but he […]

A Tentipi Wedding – Elena and Jamie

Straight after my last wedding in Blackpool, I drove down to Hampshire for Elena and Jamie’s wedding in Michelmersh the next day.  No preparations with the girls this time so it was straight into the action with Jamie at the church.  A lovely little church with plenty of light and photographer friendly vicar made for […]

Documentary wedding photography – Laura and James

The start of a long-haul weekend for me was an east coast to west coast drive to Laura and James’ wedding at the Great Hall at Mains near Blackpool.  Shocking weather on the way over the night before gave way to a dry start on the wedding day.  I caught the last of Laura’s preparations […]

Bingham Hotel Wedding – Lizzie and Matt

Bingham Hotel Wedding Photographer I’ll start by saying I half promised Matt that I’d remove all the photos of him looking emotional during the ceremony … but then there wouldn’t be any ceremony photos at all … As I drove down to London through the driving rain prospects were not looking good for enjoying the […]

Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photography – Louise and Nick

Another Autumn wedding, another rainy start, another amazing afternoon ! The grounds at Nonsuch Mansion looked fantastic in their Autumn colours, even with the grey skies when I arrived for Louise and the girls preparations.  The morning hadn’t gone entirely without incident but everyone was ready on time for the drive to the church in […]

Voewood Wedding Photography – Katy and Richard

It was my first wedding at Voewood in North Norfolk last Saturday, a beautiful country house decorated in what can only be described as an eccentric style ! Katy and Richard had taken over the place for the weekend so there was already quite a buzz when I arrived.  They held their ceremony in the […]

Katy and Michael’s Hartwell House Wedding

Take one beautiful stately home, add the Blues Brothers, sheep, fair ground stalls, a hidden night club and a overdose of hugging and you have one epic wedding.  I started the day at the stunning Hartwell House with Mike to welcome the guests and then the serenity of the Buckinghamshire countryside was shattered by the […]

Annabel and Raghu’s Somerset Wedding

A weekend away in Somerset for Annabel and Raghu’s wedding in the charming village of Charlton Horethorne.  Annabel’s parents’ farm and the church share the same postcode so everything was close at hand.  I started with the girls, followed by a quick hop over to the church to catch the boys and then back for […]

A Norfolk Marquee Wedding – Clem and Richard

A marquee wedding at home during a Norfolk Summer.

Emily and Alasdair’s wedding at The Midland Hotel

The next day I was in Manchester, and it rained, some stereotypes are true it would seem.  Nothing that would worry Emily and Alasdair however as everything was taking place inside the very grand Midland Hotel in the heart of the city.  And when I say everything, I don’t think I got a breather for […]

Jenny and Matt’s Wedding

Some of my favourite weddings are those where the couple have hired me after seeing me in action – Jenny and Matt were guests at two weddings I photographed last year, Amy and Olly’s Yaxley Hall wedding and soon after LJ and Daire’s wedding at Down Hall.  They knew how I work and left me […]

Amy and Louis’ Wedding at Cooling Castle Barn

A couple of days later and the weather was still mighty fine and it was off to Kent for Amy and Louis’s wedding at Cooling Castle Barn.

Hengrave Hall Wedding – Beverley and Benjamin’s Wedding.

From a wedding in Orange to a wedding in orange … Bev and Ben decided to make the most of the autumn colours for their wedding at Hengrave Hall in Suffolk.  There wasn’t a cloud in the late October sky as they were married in the church in the grounds of the hall and then […]

Kelly and Xu’s Wedding at Chateau des Barrenques

I was in the south of France last weekend for Kelly and Xu’s wedding at Chateau des Barrenques near Orange. The Mistral wind was in full force but the chateau was surrounded by beautiful sheltered woodlands where Kelly and Xu held their ceremony.

A Tithe Barn Wedding – Ruth and Paul’s Hampshire wedding.

This post is ridiculously long, sorry about that.  My wife Suzanne Fossey is also a photographer and while we normally work alone we teamed up last Friday to shoot Ruth and Paul’s wedding together – so there’s a bit from both of us here, and as it was the groom’s band’s last gig I thought […]

A wedding at The Lanesborough – Sarah and Greg’s Wedding

After battling through the London traffic last weekend I was at The Lanesborough Hotel for the wedding of Sarah and Greg.  Everything took place in this beautiful central London hotel, with a few trips outside dodging the showers for some photos in Hyde Park just over the road.  It was great to bump into previous […]

Norfolk Wedding Photography – Rachel and Andy’s Wedding

My warmest wedding of the year on Saturday, so much for the great British summer ! Rachel and Andy were married at St. Benedict church in Horning and after walking through a truncheon arch formed by Andy’s police friends they departed to their reception at the Scarborough Hill Hotel near North Walsham.

Norfolk Wedding Photographer – Sara and Mike’s Wedding at Cley Mill

A very intimate wedding to photograph last Monday, Sara and Mike were married at Cley Mill on the North Norfolk coast.  We just had enough time after the ceremony to catch the last of the sun down at the nearby beach.
